Lamplough: The Arrival of The Queen of Sheba - Trumpet Sextet

All purchases from our website are for a digital copy.

Premiered in London in March 1749, Handel’s “Arrival of the Queen of Sheba” is a processional that can be heard in the opening to Act III of his oratorio “Solomon”.

Here we have an arrangement of this music for six trumpets by midlands-based composer and trumpet player Gavin Lamplough. This idiomatic arrangement for brass will offer the instrumentalists a chance to shine with the melody being passed around all six parts, calling for dexterity and clarity from all performers.
