These duets get incrementally more difficult and are matched to the different stages of player development. The duets at the start of the book are aimed at learner brass players who can play some solo repertoire, but who aren't quite ready to hold their own musical line in an ensemble. As we work through the book, the duets start to align with the ensemble performance requirements for GCSE Music in terms of the duration, range and technical difficulty.
