We have a bumper Glissando Magazine for you yet again, starting with a Bone to Pick from Camille Renaud. After that I was delighted to get the chance to meet with Ben Van Dijk, who gives us an in-depth interview that I know you will enjoy. In Cosmopolitan I was pleased to receive articles from Conrado in the Philippines and the young Ciro Rotger, who gives us an idea of goings-on in Argentina.
Sticking with the youth of today, Mark Boyd then gives us a flavour of the young players of the National Youth band of Scotland. In the Green Room interview I was pleased to speak with Reggie Watkins and before that we meet Matyas Veer, a bass trombonist originally from Hungary, who now plays for the Netherlands Philharmonic. Top Notes this issue come from Brian Raby, who talks about the use of glissando in warm-ups, while Bill Geldard gives us a tribute to his long-time colleague Sheila Tracy. Then, in the Fly on the Wall series, we meet Bez Roberts, a Welshman now living in South Africa. Valentin tells us about this year’s ITF in Valencia and Ben Pei gives us an account of the Singapore Low Brass Festival, plus we have all the usual reviews and diary of What’s On for 2015.
