All That Jazz! is an exciting new book of jazz etudes covering a wide range of jazz techniques for the trumpet. The Studies are arranged by technique and are preceded by a simple introduction and explanation.  Each chapter introduces new and exciting jazz techniques and different styles to provide the student with fresh and exciting challenges. 

Why this new approach? 
In the traditional teaching system jazz is an idiom frequently overlooked, therefore the student is not given the opportunity to experience this music or any of the contemporary techniques found therein. As a consequence, sadly, the student omits a valuable part of their musical education. 

My main aim has been to cover a wide spectrum of jazz styles, effects and techniques that the performer may use; not only in jazz music but also in contemporary classical works they might encounter. 

This book is an excellent introduction into the world of jazz and trumpet techniques frequently found in jazz music.  It culminates in a study containing techniques and knowledge covered throughout the book.  For the student's extra enjoyment, three duets are included which can be played with friends or teachers. 

All That Jazz! Aims to give the trumpet player an enjoyable and accessible introduction and insight into the world of jazz, experience of useful techniques and styles which the student may never otherwise experience.
