The Barber of Seville overture. It's a good thing that this overture was not lost- that was the fate of the opera which originally followed it, "L'Aureliano in Palmira". Later, he attached this overture to his opera The Barber of Seville, which has obviously fared much better.

Although this piece doesn't lend itself as natuarally to trombones as some others might, it is for sure a ton of fun and quite a challenge.

It was Blair Bollinger who encouraged me to give this one a try, and it was first played by Four of a Kind, and subsequently recorded by them.
