This piece of music was written in memory of our family pet dog, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named ‘Penny’. The opening melodic theme depicts a tranquil mood to reflect Penny’s affectionate and adorable character.
Penny is composed in variation form, structured to progressively challenge the instrumental technique of the performer. Each section varies in rhythm, portraying Penny’s happy and energetic nature.
