For 8 horns. A technically challenging work for two trombone quartets. Antiphonal performances can be very impressive, although equally difficult. The availability of trombone or horn parts makes it possible to mix the instruments in any combination. This can serve to alter the sonority and tone color, and to solve range problems. By using horns and adding tubas to the low parts, it becomes an effective work for low brass choir.
