For 8 horns. This is a fine arrangement for antiphonal trombone quartets. Even though it was a vocal work, its fanfare-like character makes it a great concert opener. Excellent for young players, provided good bass trombonists are available. The availability of trombone or horn parts makes it possible to mix the instruments in any combination. This can serve to alter the sonority and tone color, and to solve range problems. By using horns and adding tubas to the low parts, it becomes an effective work for low brass choir.
