TUTTI'S TROMBONES is intended to exploit, to the utmost, the great unexplored possibilities of the trombone. In its basic approach it shows, as simply as possible, the richness of this noble instrument, along with the dynamic power and equality of range that is posses.
In writing arrangements for this album, Camarata has employed the rhythmic patterns of the best of today's music. Represented are: The Bossa Nova, Twist, Gospel, Rock 12/8 and Jazz 3/8 and 4.

TUTTI'S TRUMPETS
In musicology, "tutti" means "everybody plays!" This is the spirit in which Camarta produced this album. The fact that his nickname of long standing is 'Tutti' adds fillip to the title. The idea for Tutti's Trumpets was born many years ago when Camarata blew trumpet for Jimmy Dorsey. In later years, as he went on to orchestrating, arranging, composing and conducting, he always held on to the idea and hoped someday to make such an album. However, it was not until the eraly hours of 27th April 1957 when the first recording session was held, that it first became a reality.
Camarata has showcased his trumpets by setting them against three different musical backgrounds. For some numbers, such as the exciting Bugle Blues, the trumpets are set off by saxophones; for others, it's trumpets and strings, and for still others, it's trumpets backed by a full orchestra
