Oz was first performed by Katherine Hart on trombone and Joley Cragg on drum at a recital on 23rd June 2011 in the Music Hall of Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London.
The composer, Peter Gane writes:
"On my last flight to see my daughter and family in Sydney, rather than try to watch yet another film, I thought I would write a short fun piece for Katherine's final recital. Based on her favourite interval of a falling fourth, I hope this short fun piece for trombone and tenor drum has captured some of Katherine's energy and feel for melodic line."
