Adam Walters

Adam Walters studied at Cambridge University and at the Royal College of Music. As a French Horn player he subsequently enjoyed a busy schedule performing with orchestras including the Orchestra of the Royal Opera, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, English National Ballet, Glyndebourne on Tour, BBC Concert Orchestra, and London Mozart Players.

Adam has a long-standing interest in music education and worked as brass instrument teacher in many schools and universities in London and Cambridge. He also spent a year working on the management team of Waltham Forest Music Service.

In 2009 Adam moved to Trinidad to work at the new Academy for the Performing Arts, part of the University of Trinidad and Tobago. In Trinidad Adam works as a performer, teacher and composer.

Adam continues to write pieces aimed at younger audiences. He has also developed a particular interest in writing music that incorporates traditional Trinidadian folk elements in his pieces.
