Larry Lipkis
Larry Lipkis (Chair), B.A., University of California at Los Angeles; M.A., University of Pennsylvania; Ph.D., University of California at Santa Barbara, is Moravian?s composer-in-residence. His works, from choral pieces to electronic music, have been performed internationally. He teaches all levels of music theory and gives private instruction in composition.
He also directs the early music program and is a member of the Baltimore Consort, a professional early music ensemble which has released eight CDs and tours nationally and internationally. In 1997, his bass trombone concerto, Harlequin, was premiered by the Los Angeles Philharmonic.
