Dan Jenkins

Dan Jenkins studied trombone (and composition with Simon Wills, who used to be a lutenist) at the Guildhall School in 1984, before taking off round the byways of Britain with the (New) D'Oyly Carte Opera Company in 1988. Several years of a frankly charmed career as a freelancer then ensued, working with all the major London orchestras and several orchestras around the country, travelling all over the world with many of them. In 2004 he joined the City of London Sinfonia as Principal Trombone, and the following year became Sub-Principal Trombone in the BBC Symphony Orchestra. He is married and lives in North London.
